The Meeting

Long and boring,
     Ersatz work.
Silent snoring,
     Careful smirk.

Every molehill becomes a mountain
     if you're small enough.

Old Love Letters

The distance, increased by our closeness,
Her presence, less noted than her absence,
The imagined, loved more than the real.
Alone at home with my family.

I cross the gulf on paper raft,

     Words

     Of feelings                        felt
     Of dreams                       dreamt
     Of hopes                          hoped

Is there no rest from love’s
     fatigue?

Alone

We are never so Alone
as when we're together,
   at home.
